$3,500 funding boost for Esperance football

Sport and Recreation Minister Norman Moore has announced a $3,500 funding boost for football in Esperance.

The grant is from the Sports Lottery Fund country package.

It will support the 1998 section of the Esperance District Football Association's development plan.

"This grant will help with junior development, talent development and education," Mr Moore said.

"It also will support the hosting of the Great Southern carnival, which is always a highlight for Esperance football fans.

"The Sports Lottery Fund country package is invaluable in helping establish the sporting infrastructure needed in regional areas.

"I am very pleased the Government has been able to help in this way.

"We are committed to helping people in regional Western Australia get the most possible from their sport and recreation opportunities."
