Boral Asphalt awarded contract for sealing works in SW region

A Main Roads contract valued at $585,845 for bituminous sealing and resealing works in the South-West region has been awarded to Boral Asphalt.

Transport Minister Eric Charlton said the contract would involve sealing and resealing various roads such as the Perth-Bunbury Highway, Bussel Highway, Nannup-Pemberton Road and Manjimup-Mount Barker Road.

"The works will improve safety by increasing skid resistance, as well as extending the pavement life of the sections treated," the Minister said.

Work would commence in early November and be completed by the end of January, 1996.
