Bunbury City Council commended on Commitment to Business Excellence award

Local Government Minister Paul Omodei this morning congratulated Bunbury City Council on becoming the first Western Australian local government to be acknowledged in the Australian Quality Awards.

At a glittering ceremony last night, Bunbury received an award at the Commitment to Business Excellence level.

The award recognised that the city council had taken the first step towards an Australian Quality Award and was committed to achieving excellence and creating a framework for change.

"It is wonderful to see a local government making such a commitment to excellence and being recognised as being on the way to achieving it," Mr Omodei said.

"I congratulate the council and staff for the attitude and actions that have taken them this far and I wish them well in their continuing pursuit of excellence."
