The continued success of the community-based Murray Job Link employment and training organisation was part of the prosperity of the Peel Region, Employment and Training Minister Graham Kierath said today.
Mr Keirath told guests at a Pinjarra breakfast, marking Murray Job Link's 10 years of service delivery to job-seekers and employers, that all stakeholders could be justifiably proud of a decade which had brought significant achievement and success.
"You should indeed celebrate what you have achieved in a comparatively short time since the days the fledgling program operated from the old ambulance centre,'' he told Job Link personnel and community leaders.
Mr Kierath said that over 10 years the organisation placed almost 1,700 people in jobs.
He said Murray Job Link - which this year has State Government funding of more than $90,000 - showed how effective partnerships between Government and the community benefited job-seekers and employers.
