Egg Marketing Board chairman re-appointed

25/9/00 Primary Industry Minister Monty House has announced the re-appointment of Brent Stewart as Chairman of the Western Australian Egg Marketing Board.

Primary Industry Minister Monty House has announced the re-appointment of Brent Stewart as Chairman of the Western Australian Egg Marketing Board.
The board trades as Golden Egg Farms.
The statutory authority maintains an orderly marketing system in WA and ensures that consumers have a consistent regular supply of fresh locally produced eggs. The system continues to serve both the consumer and producer well in our isolated location.
Mr House said Mr Stewart's re-appointment would provide continuity of leadership and direction for the future of the egg industry in WA.
"Under his leadership, Golden Egg Farms has adopted world's best practices and become Australia's leading exporter of shell egg and egg products," Mr House said.
Mr Stewart is the chief executive of Market Equity, a leading Australian company specialising in the areas of marketing research, planning and strategy.
Mr Stewart will serve a term of office as chairman expiring in December 1, 2003.
The board consists of members:
Peter Newing - Producer elected
Lindsay Bell - Producer elected
Zelko Lendich - Consumer representative
Andrew Gilmour - Consumer representative.
Mr House commended the board and its members for their commitment to the egg industry in WA.
