Family and Children's Services has agreed to give extra funding to Borden's Four Year Old Kindergarten and Family Playgroup.
Family and Children's Services Minister Cheryl Edwardes announced today that an agreement had been signed with the service which gave it an additional $2,797.
Mrs Edwardes said the extra funds would be used to improve conditions at the centre.
"Among other things, they will be able to have new washing facilities, a new hot water system and an electrical upgrade," she said.
"A telephone will be supplied and installed as well."
Mrs Edwardes said she believed these items would help the kindergarten to function more efficiently.
The extra funding marked the continuation of a good relationship which would benefit the local community.
