Former Mayor Ron Yuryevich to be Commissioner replacing Shire Council at Wiluna

Former Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor Ron Yuryevich has agreed to become the Commissioner to replace the Shire Council at Wiluna following the resignation of the majority of its members.
Local Government Minister Paul Omodei said today that he would recommend Mr Yuryevich's appointment to Executive Council next week.
"Mr Yuryevich is widely experienced in local government and is familiar with the region," Mr Omodei said.
"As well as having a been Mayor of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, he performed with distinction as President of the Western Australian Municipal Association.
"Once the appointment is ratified, he will act as the Council of the Shire of Wiluna until elections can be held next March."
