Funding for Goldfields touch football team
19/11/97
Touch football players from the Goldfields will be able to attend a training camp, thanks to support from the Sports Lottery Fund.
Sport and Recreation Minister Norman Moore announced the grant today.
Mr Moore said that the $1,500 grant to the Goldfields Touch Association would help players attend a State country team training camp in Perth.
The State country team would compete in the NSW State Cup in Port Macquarie in December.
"Country athletes deserve every chance possible to compete at the highest level," the Minister said.
"This grant will help them towards that goal."
