Major facelift to the Campbell Barracks entrance at Swanbourne

A major facelift for the entrance to Campbell Barracks at Swanbourne will begin in a week, with the awarding of a Main Roads contract for $725,000 to Merym Constructions Pty Ltd.

Transport Minister Eric Charlton said the contract involved the replacement of a guardhouse an an electrical sub-station.

"The work will also replace road and paving areas for the Barracks affected by the upgrading of West Coast Highway-Servetus Street at Swanbourne later this year," Mr Charlton said.

He said work should be substantially completed by August.

The Merym Constructions contract would be funded as part of the State Government's four cents per litre Additional Funding Program.
