Mingenew community commended on providing interesting expo

Primary Industry Minister Monty House today attended the 15th annual Mingenew Lions Mid-West Expo and said it again provided a window to the region's valuable agricultural sector.

Mr House congratulated the community and Expo organisers on again putting together a professional and interesting two-day expo.

The Minister said agriculture was a very important industry in the Mid-West and provided significant employment throughout the district.

"Field days and events such as the Mingenew Lions Mid-West Expo are very important events on the agricultural calendar, exposing farmers to the latest the industry has to offer," he said.

"They also enable the industry to showcase itself as a professional and progressive industry to the wider community."

This year's event attracted about 400 exhibitors and organisers were expecting about 5,000 people to have attended over the two days.
