New Katanning Health Service board appointed

Health Minister Graham Kierath has announced the appointment of a new board for the Katanning Health Service.

The Minister said the new board members had been drawn from diverse backgrounds and brought a wide range of knowledge and experience to their positions.

"To serve on a health service board carries a significant responsibility and is not something to be taken on lightly, so it is important to get the mix of skills and personalities right to maximise the effectiveness of the board," he said.

"Each member has a proven track record in their field of expertise and a demonstrated commitment to their communities.

"Regional health care has always been a top priority for this Government and health service boards play a key role in meeting community expectations on health issues.

"I am confident that they will make a valuable contribution to maintaining appropriate and high quality health services to their region."

The new board members are: Douglas Hepworth, Harold Altus, George Monk, Gaynor Garstone, Lorraine Jury, Clarence Harris, Yvonne Hislop, Wilma Severin and Allan Bell.
