Official opening of 25th annual Newdegate Machinery Field Days

A record number of exhibitors indicates the success and popularity of the Newdegate Machinery Field Days, Primary Industry Minister Monty House said today.

The Minister today officially opened the 25th annual Newdegate Machinery Field Days and congratulated organisers and the community for staging such an important event on the rural calendar.

Mr House said the two-day event was a credit to the small community of Newdegate, who worked together to stage what had become a very professional event.

"Events such as this not only give farmers an opportunity to see the latest machinery and technology on the market but are an important social and networking opportunity for rural communities throughout the region," he said.

While in Newdegate, the Minister presented a Landcare Achievement Award to the Newdegate Land Conservation District Committee.
