Premier Richard Court's comments on the Federal Budget

"The Federal Budget reflects huge revenue growth coming out of Western Australia, at the same time as the Federal Government is cutting funds to this State.

"If the Keating Government had controlled their own expenditures last year, Western Australians would be enjoying real tax cuts this year. 

"The increase in company tax does not help a competitive wealth-creating State such as WA, particularly when the increased revenues are not being invested back into infrastructure in this State.

"The Federal Government's move into budget surplus is well overdue considering their massive revenue growth in the past two years."
