Rally Australia TV deal signed for Perth

The Western Australian Tourism Commission and International Sportsworld Communicators have entered into a three-year television deal for Rally Australia in Perth.
Tourism Minister Norman Moore said that WATC Chief Executive Officer Shane Crockett and ISC Chief David Richards had signed the agreement in New Zealand yesterday.
Mr Moore said the new deal would replace the present four-year television agreement when it expired on December 30 this year. The new agreement would cover the television rights for the years 2001, 2002 and 2003.
Securing the television agreement was part of the normal Rally Australia negotiating process. Rally Australia this year would be held in Perth from November 7-11.
