Resignation of Doug Shave from Ministry

Premier Richard Court today announced that Doug Shave MLA had resigned from the Ministry for personal reasons.

Mr Court said he accepted Mr Shave's resignation with regret.

The portfolios held by Mr Shave would be distributed within the existing Cabinet as follows:

·         Colin Barnett - Tourism;

·         Richard Lewis - Housing;

·         Norman Moore - Sport and Recreation.

Mr Court said the Ministry would be reviewed in February at which time the vacant position would be filled.

The Premier said Mr Shave would remain in Parliament representing his electorate of Melville.
