WA eggs to be exported to Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia

Western Australian eggs from Golden Egg Farms will soon be served throughout Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
Primary Industry Minister Monty House said the demand in Malaysia was about 500 tonnes a year, or 10 million eggs.
He said the product would be exported as packaged frozen egg.
"This is a great win for Australia's only remaining statutory body in the Australian egg business," Mr House said.
"Golden Egg Farms has been focussing its attention on the export market as well as expanding the business here in WA.
"Golden Egg Farms is one of only two egg companies in the world that meets Malaysia's strict import regulation."
General Manager of Golden Egg Farms Phil Steel said the company had always strived to deliver quality products and earlier this year it became the only egg organisation in Australia to achieve accreditation to the ISO 9002 quality standard.
Golden Egg Farms already exports substantial quantities of eggs to Singapore and Indonesia.
"The latest breakthrough in Malaysia is another significant step into the South East Asian market and we are now the leading egg exporter in Australia," Mr Steel said.
Golden Egg Farms employs more than 100 people at its Palmyra plant and packages nearly one million eggs a day from more than 120 commercial poultry farmers.
