Community Development Minister Sheila McHale today thanked the community for their support of the Bali victims and encouraged people most affected by the tragedy to seek assistance.
Ms McHale said many generous offers had been made to the Bali Offers of Assistance Hotline including accommodation, pharmaceuticals, house cleaning, office work, counselling and interpreting.
People wanting to give money should direct their donation to the Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund, WA Bali Casualties Appeal, on 9347 1744.
Ms McHale also encouraged those most affected by the crisis - those who experienced the tragedy first-hand, their families and friends - to avail themselves of the community's support and accept the help that had been offered.
"I appreciate the extraordinary grief they are going through and at this time it may be too early for them to know what specific help they will need," she said.
"I understand and realise that they have a long and difficult journey ahead of them. At any stage along the way I would encourage them to seek assistance."
To receive help of any kind, people should ring the 24-hour counselling and information line set up by the State Government on 1800 199 008.
Counsellors will ensure callers receive the assistance they require whether it be counselling, financial assistance or practical help.
