Thanks to the support of a local cinema the extraordinary efforts, time and love of more than 1,000 foster carers in our community have been recognised.
Local business Busselton Central Cinema opened its doors to foster children and their families over the weekend of May 18 and 19 for the Foster Family Free Days.
Additionally, video store Video Ezy provided free new release vouchers for every foster family in WA.
More than 30 Western Australian businesses participated in the Foster Family Free Days by offering free entry all day for foster families.
Community Development Minister Sheila McHale thanked all businesses for their generosity and community spirit.
"The support from companies across WA in backing this event has been overwhelming," Ms McHale said.

"Foster carers are special people who open their homes and hearts to caring for children who, for a variety of reasons, cannot live at home.
"Many of these children and young people have had to tackle major challenges in their young lives.
"It is so important that we as a community let them know they are valued and help them reach their potential.
"The Foster Family Free Days are just one way we can acknowledge the valuable work of foster carers in the community."
Ms McHale thanked Video Ezy and The West Australian, the major sponsors of the Foster Family Free Days.
