Change of name makes new era for aged care provider: Minister
18/7/01
A new logo and change of name represents the beginning of a period of modernisation for Swan Cottage Homes, Health Minister Bob Kucera said today.
Mr Kucera said the Bentley facility would now be known as Swan Village of Care.
"After four decades of care for the elderly, the new name and logo is the first step in the planned modernisation of the organisation," he said.
"Underpinning this period of renewal is the pledge that the values and commitments upon which the Swan Village of Care has built its reputation will remain unchanged.
"The Swan Village of Care is committed to the provision of innovative, holistic care and is focused on the core values of customer service, professionalism and enterprise."
Mr Kucera said the Aged Care Standards Agency had recently awarded both care centres at the Swan Village of Care with a rare 'commendable' rating for commitment to quality care and continual improvement.
The expectations of ageing people in the community were changing.
"The Swan Village of Care is looking to find a balance between the wants and needs of different generations while maintaining the same levels of individualised service and the utmost care," the Minister said.
