Attorney General Jim McGinty said today that the refusal by author Avon Lovell to answer questions under oath at the Police Royal Commission was being treated seriously.
Mr McGinty said contempt proceedings would be launched in the Supreme Court.
He said senior Government advisers were tonight meeting to determine how the matter would be progressed.
