Former Kellerberrin man appointed Supreme Court Judge

Attorney General Jim McGinty today announced the appointment of Perth barrister Christopher Pullin QC as a judge of the Supreme Court.
Mr Pullin, who grew up on a farm near Kellerberrin and is a talented painter and book illustrator, will take up the appointment on September 10.
He replaces Judge Geoffrey Kennedy, who retires next month after 20 years as a Supreme Court judge.
Mr Pullin will bring to the bench more than 30 years' experience as a lawyer, specialising in commercial, insurance and native title litigation. He has practised extensively in the Supreme and High Courts, and also served as a commissioner of the Supreme Court on several occasions.

A former president of both the Australian and Western Australian Bar Associations, Mr Pullin is presently chairman of the Legal Practitioners Complaints Committee. He is also convenor of the Women at the Bar Steering Committee of the WA Bar Association.
Mr Pullin attended Kellerberrin Junior High School and Governor Stirling Senior High before gaining his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia.
