Future of Collie Hospital guaranteed: Minister

The future of Collie Hospital is guaranteed under a Gallop Labor Government, Health Minister Bob Kucera announced today.
Mr Kucera said the people of Collie would continue to receive appropriate health services locally.
"I can guarantee that Collie Hospital will not close while this Government is in office," he said.
Mr Kucera made the announcement while visiting staff and patients at the Collie Hospital with Collie MLA Mick Murray.
Mr Murray said he was greatly pleased by the commitment, which would greatly benefit the local community.
"The way in which health services are delivered is constantly changing as people's needs change," Mr Murray said.
"It is important that appropriate health services are delivered to communities to ensure their health needs are being met.
"I am pleased to see that Collie will continue to have a role to play in the delivery of health services locally."
