Tourism Minister Bob Kucera today confirmed the new venue for this year's Telstra Rally Australia Super Special Stage was Gloucester Park.
"Gloucester Park will play host to a different kind of horse power - turbo-charged World Rally Cars from September 4 to 7," he said.
"For the past 11 years, Langley Park has set the bench mark for Super Special Stages and careful consideration was given to changing the venue.
"The earlier date for this year's Rally - the 10th round of the FIA World Rally Championship - introduced the possibility that poor weather might disrupt preparation of the Super Special Stage at Langley Park, and that was one of the chief concerns.
"Race organisers spent a lot of time consulting engineers and experts to ensure that running Telstra Rally Australia at Gloucester Park would not compromise the quality of the trotting track.
"Special arrangements have also been made to ensure that noise made by the cars and entertainment does not exceed 11pm noise restrictions."

The agreement between Telstra Rally Australia and the Western Australian Trotting Association to use Gloucester Park has been subject to development approval from the East Perth Redevelopment Authority and the City of Perth.
"The agreement is great news for Western Australian Rally fans and will provide a significant injection of funds to the State," Mr Kucera said.
"As a result of last year's Telstra Rally Australia, almost $12million was spent by visitors to WA.
"Telstra Rally Australia is one of WA's premiere events. It is important that we continue to bring it to the people of Perth at a central and easily accessible venue.
"Gloucester Park offers great advantages for spectators and the amphitheatre design means that a $15 General Admission ticket will provide good track viewing.
"The number of general admission tickets will also increase - from 1,500 per night at Langley Park to 10,000 per night at Gloucester Park."
Mr Kucera said this year's event would include a V8 Ute Challenge, Corporate Cup and Celebrity Challenge, a Motor Expo, various bands and roving entertainers and a spectacular fireworks finale.
Telstra Rally Australia's Headquarters will also be located at the Super Special Stage at Gloucester Park and, for the first time, the media centre will be located at the same site.
Tickets will be on sale through Ticketmaster7 outlets from July 18.
