Government Enterprises Minister Nick Griffiths today announced the appointment of Ms Michele Dolin as chief executive officer and employer director of the Government Employees' Superannuation Board.
As a former general manager with BankWest and as general manager operations with both Westpac and Challenge Bank, Ms Dolin brings to the GESB a wealth of experience and expertise in the areas of planning, finance, corporate governance and human resources.
Ms Dolin has also served as both a director and chair of the staff superannuation plans for both BankWest and Challenge Bank.
She holds a Master of Business Administration Degree and Master of Arts Degrees. She is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Finance and Banking.
Mr Griffiths said the new CEO faced the challenge of heading up the largest superannuation fund based in Western Australia, with over $3.3billion under management and more than 265,000 members, in a dynamic and testing market.
"Ms Dolin's substantial experience will greatly assist the GESB in maintaining and growing its business in the face of increased competition in investment services," he said.
Mr Griffiths also acknowledged the significant contribution to the GESB made by outgoing CEO, Mr Peter Farrell.
"I would like to thank Mr Farrell for his many years as a leader with a strong commitment to the members of the fund and wish him well for the future," the Minister said.
