If you're buying petrol tomorrow, check out your local independent service station, Consumer Protection Minister John Kobelke said.
"Independent service stations are currently offering the most competitively priced unleaded petrol for motorists tomorrow," Mr Kobelke said.
"The average ULP price from Gull, Liberty and Peak is 77.3 cents per litre, while the average of the major oil companies' is 83.16 cents per litre. This is a significant difference for motorists."
Mr Kobelke said FuelWatch had been following the price changes closely and that the prices had been steadily increasing over the past week.
"This time last week the average price of ULP being charged by the major oil companies was 78.54 cents per litre," he said.
"If motorists need to fill up, they should check FuelWatch to see where to buy fuel at the best price."
