New presiding member appointed to Joondalup Inquiry

25/5/04 Local Government Minister Tom Stephens has announced the appointment of Mr Greg McIntyre to replace Mr William Ford as the Presiding Member of the Panel of Inquiry into the activities of the Joondalup City Council.

Local Government Minister Tom Stephens has announced the appointment of Mr Greg McIntyre to replace Mr William Ford as the Presiding Member of the Panel of Inquiry into the activities of the Joondalup City Council.
Mr Ford has resigned from the inquiry on medical advice.
"Mr McIntyre is an experienced legal practitioner who conducted the inquiry into the City of South Perth," Mr Stephens said.
"He will have wide-ranging terms of reference in determining whether there has been failure to provide good governance in the City of Joondalup.
"Mr McIntyre will be able to make recommendations as he sees fit and will consider whether or not the suspended Joondalup City Council should be reinstated or dismissed."
Mr John Staude continues as the Counsel Assisting the Joondalup Inquiry.
