High school students from across Western Australia were recognised today for their efforts in promoting a positive image of young people within their schools and the wider community.
Minister for Youth Sheila McHale congratulated the 28 District Ambassadors of the 2004-05 Positive Image Award at a breakfast function at Parliament House.
"These young people are being recognised not for academic or sporting prowess necessarily, but for promoting a positive image of young people within the community," Ms McHale said.
"We continue to see examples of wonderful young people throughout WA, and programs like this give us the opportunity to recognise the positive contributions that they make to society."
