"Already this plan is bearing fruit, with the redevelopment of Perth Oval into the rectangular Members' Equity Stadium; Leederville Oval is now a football centre of excellence and is home to East Perth and Subiaco; and Tom Bateman Reserve in Gosnells is set to become the new permanent home for baseball."
Mr Kucera said that the sports ministers of Australia had appointed Mr Alexander to chair a group of all directors general of sport in Australia.
Through this he has already raised the important issue of governance of national sporting organisations, which will benefit all sporting organisations in Australia.
"Mr Alexander has overseen significant structural change within the department which has enhanced the agency's service delivery at all levels, particularly in regional Western Australia," the Minister said.
