State Development Minister Clive Brown today announced a website service aimed at helping community groups, businesses, and educational bodies secure funding for their information and communications (I&C) activities.
Mr Brown said the 'Funding Your Future' website had been developed by a one-stop port of call for information and communications funding.
"One of the problems facing groups trying to secure I&C funds for their projects is not knowing what schemes are available and where to look," he said.
"This site seeks to overcome that problem.
"It is a virtual gateway to millions of dollars of potential I&C funding."
'Funding Your Future' contains State, federal and local government information for:

  • community groups;
  • regional communities;
  • businesses; and
  • students.
"This site puts all that information together and makes it easy to access," Mr Brown said.
"What we have tried to do is create a simple site that pulls all the relevant information together into one central source so that people don't have to spend long hours looking for it.
"It's not a complicated site, anyone can use it, we've tried to make it as practical and as simple to use as possible."
People can access the Funding Your Future site by going to the DoIT homepage at http://www.indtech.wa.gov.au and clicking the 'Business and Community' link on the left side of the page.
They can also access the site directly by going to http://www.indtech.wa.gov.au/trade/industrydev/ic%20register/index.htm
