Education Minister Kay Hallahan took a walk down memory lane at the weekend when she attended a reunion of Bullsbrook District High School students.

Mrs Hallahan attended Bullsbrook DHS from 1952 to 1954 and is now Minister responsible for more than 760 other schools throughout the State.

The reunion coincided with the 40th anniversary of the school.

"I was among the first students to attend the school. We travelled together by bus, which was a novel experience after walking from different directions to attend the local primary school," Mrs Hallahan said.

The Minister attended Tullis and Muchea primary schools before Bullsbrook DHS and later Perth Girls' High School.

She later became an office worker in Perth and Midland, a police woman and then a social worker before entering Parliament in 1983.
