Call for 'yes' vote in daylight saving referendum
Employment and Training Minister Kay Hallahan today appealed for Western Australians to vote 'yes' in the daylight saving referendum in the interests of the State economy.
Mrs Hallahan said a 'yes' vote was one way Western Australians could make their contribution to business confidence and the recovery of the economy.
"The Federal and State Governments have made a massive effort to stimulate the economy, but the business sector and the community have important roles to play," she said.
"A more efficient and effective business sector, without the impediments of greatly differing time zones, could mean more jobs for Western Australians."
