Financial support for Armadale/Kelmscott Job Link
The State Government has provided financial support to Armadale/Kelmscott Job Link for its work assisting local unemployed people.
The group was one of 29 community-based employment projects across the State to receive part of a $2.2 million allocation.
Training Minister and local MLC Kay Hallahan today presented the group with $112,000 to continue its activities.
"The 1992-93 State Budget had one overriding objective - to address the unacceptably high level of unemployment," she said.
"The projects, funded through the State Budget, have already assisted 9,000 Western Australians and will help many more following the confirmation of Government funding support.
"Each project offers personal counselling, retraining and individual advice in preparing resumes and writing job applications."
