The Bunbury Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) prestigious bi-annual survey exhibition launched today, showcasing 68 talented artists of Western Australia's South-West.

The South Western Times Art (SWTA) 2020 exhibition provides a unique platform for local artists, from emerging artists to established senior practitioners.

The exhibition allows local artists to present a diverse range of works, embrace innovative and challenging ideas as well as traditional practice.

Curated by WA writer and curator Lee Kinsella, the main theme of the exhibition is how artists respond to the pressing economic, social and environmental issues and how this impacts the arts landscape in the region.

The bi-annual survey exhibition started in 1993 and since then has enabled BRAG to grow a rich and colourful collection of contemporary art from participating artists.

The SWTA exhibition, which also features a range of public programs such as artists talks and workshops, is on until April 27, 2020.
