Kinross schools benefit from $4 million works

The Kinross community will benefit from two multimillion dollar projects at local schools.

The Kinross community will benefit from two multimillion dollar projects at local schools.

A $2.5 million upgrade at Kinross College includes refurbishments to performing and visual arts areas, textiles and food technology, beauty therapy room, science laboratory and STEM room, library and lecture theatre.

Hart Architects have been appointed and works are expected to be completed by December 2020.

The $1.6 million early intervention centre for families at Kinross Primary School, designed by Slavin Architects Pty Ltd, will be available to the community, offering programs and services for families with young children aged from birth to eight years.

The centre will include a health office, general offices, multipurpose rooms, a kitchen, and store rooms for services such as playgroups and child health checks and consultancy.

Construction will start in December and the centre is expected to open to families in mid-2020.
