Fans of motorsports are set for a memorable three days when the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint round of the Repco Supercars Championship gets underway tomorrow.

Held at Raceway - formerly known as Wanneroo Raceway - from 28 to 30 April, the event is supported by the McGowan Government through Tourism WA.

Overall, around 130 entrants will be racing across five categories, including the Repco Supercars Championship; the Dunlop Super2 and Super3 Series; the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia; the V8 SuperUte Series; and Historic Cars.

The 2022 Supercars event attracted almost 22,000 people, including more than 2,000 drivers, support staff, suppliers and avid fans who travelled to Western Australia from out of State.

WA's Brodie Kostecki currently leads the Championship and will compete against other top drivers such as Shane van Gisbergen, Chaz Mostert and Cameron Waters in the Perth Championship round - currently the biggest motorsport event held in WA.

Female driver Elly Morrow will compete in the Dunlop Super2 Series alongside teammate Brad Vaughan, while former Olympic sprinter and Perth native John Steffensen and Ellexandra Best will race in the V8 SuperUtes Series.

Australia's top drivers will also take to the track in their Gen3 Supercars to compete in the ongoing Camaro v Mustang rivalry - for the first time in WA.

The Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint event is part of the Repco Supercars Championship, a series of 12 racing events held throughout Australia, featuring 25 drivers and 11 teams.

Tickets to the event include free public transport on the Transperth rail network during the weekend.

A free shuttle bus will be running at regular intervals from Clarkson Station to and from the track on Saturday and Sunday. The first bus on Saturday leaves Clarkson at 8am with the last bus from the event leaving at 5.30pm. On Sunday, the first bus leaves Clarkson Station at 7am with the last one returning at 5.30pm.

There will also be a free shuttle bus from an alternative off-site car park at Peak Road (off Mather Drive), Neerabup.
