Angela Kelly is the Acting Deputy Director General, State Development and Project Facilitation with the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification.
This role supports the delivery of project-ready land, and facilitates major state development projects, including the management of State Agreements.
Having held senior executive positions within the Western Australian Government at the Department of Health and the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Ms Kelly brings decades of experience in system performance, financial management, strategic planning and corporate governance. She also has extensive knowledge of the State's health and medical life sciences ecosystem, a thriving sector supporting Western Australia's economic diversification.
In her role at the Department of Health, Ms Kelly led the successful delivery of strategic priorities through Major Health Projects and Infrastructure and the Office of Medical Research and Innovation. She also played a critical leadership role for Western Australia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2022, Ms Kelly was recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, awarded the Public Service Medal (PSM) for her outstanding service to the Western Australian health system, particularly during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Ms Kelly holds a Bachelor of Economics from The University of Western Australia.
