Kevin Dorizzi: Western Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year 2026 winner

This award recognises the achievements of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student who is outstanding in all aspects of their training, and demonstrates the importance of lifelong learning for themselves and their community.

Kevin is passionate about supporting people within his community. In particular, he is focused on the importance of delivering culturally responsive, culturally safe, respectful and trauma-informed support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, inspiring him to undertake a Diploma of Counselling. His own personal experience strongly influenced his career pathway, and he is now determined to make a difference and help support others. Kevin is especially committed to improving mental health outcomes and creating a positive change within his community.
