I am pleased to present the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board’s Annual Report for 2024–25. It reflects a year of significant achievement and strong community connection, underpinned by our values of Compassion, Integrity and Connection.
This year, we continued to provide dignified and affordable services, achieving a customer satisfaction rating of 95.6% while conducting more than 14,500 funeral services. We expanded programs that deliver real benefits to Western Australians, enhanced our environmental stewardship, and strengthened our commitment to inclusivity, reconciliation and cultural responsiveness.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication and professionalism of our staff, who ensure every service is carried out with care and respect. I thank them, and our stakeholders, for their ongoing support.
Looking ahead, our new Strategic Plan 2025–2030 sets a clear path to sustain our services for decades to come, ensuring that the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board continues to provide spaces of remembrance, reflection and connection for our community.
