Under the Petroleum, Geothermal Energy and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 1967 (PGEGGSA) and Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Submerged Lands) Act 1982 (PGGS(SL)A)applicants for a new Petroleum Title may, at time of application, apply to the Minister for Mines and Petroleum to include rights to explore for and/or recover prescribed regulated substances. The holder of an existing Petroleum Title may also apply add regulated substance rights their existing Petroleum Title.
