At its final meeting on 14 May 2021, The Energy Transformation Taskforce approved a Framework for Non-Cooptimised Essential System Services (NCESS). The Taskforce decisions are contained in the information paper below.
The Taskforce has determined that a framework for NCESS will be codified in relevant regulatory instruments to enable the procurement of security and reliability services to support emerging power and network needs, not already covered by the existing suite of Essential System Services.
Energy Policy WA will continue to develop the detailed design for the NCESS framework in consultation with stakeholders through the Transformation Design and Operation Working Group and one-on-one consultation.
