The STEM skills strategy aims to build a globally competitive and innovative workforce with the skills to drive Western Australia’s technological future and create job opportunities.
In May 2018, the WA Government announced the strategy’s broad elements and $3.359 million to kick-start initiatives. These include $1.96 million for the STEM Enterprise Schools program, $738,000 for the Digital and Technology Skills Program and $502,000 for a state-wide STEM campaign.
