This process also applies to applications for miscellaneous licences and general purposes leases for the purpose of a search for groundwater or taking water under subdivision H of the NTA.
Where a miscellaneous licence (L) / general purpose lease (G) application affects native title and it is for a purpose/s that falls within the following categories, as described under Section 253 of the NTA it must for NTA purposes be processed in accordance with Section 24MD(6A) and (6B) of the NTA.
