About
The ELICOS Teachers' Subsidy provides up to 31 students with a support payment of up to $3,150 towards their course fees, when completing the Cambridge Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) qualification in Western Australia.
Applicants must apply for the CELTA course through their chosen education provider and will then be assessed for eligibility of this subsidy. This qualification is highly regarded amongst employers in Western Australia seeking English language teachers.

The full subsidy* is available to eligible students who complete the Cambridge CELTA qualification with Milner International College of English or Phoenix Academy.
Applicants must apply for the CELTA course through their above chosen education provider and will then be assessed for eligibility of this subsidy.

Who is eligible
Show moreStudents must meet the eligibility criteria in the enrolment application form on their chosen education providers’ website.
The subsidy may be available to eligible students who have enrolled in intakes between August to December 2023.
Who is not eligible
Show moreEnrolled students who fail to complete the CELTA qualification may be liable to their education provider for the cost of the Cambridge CELTA qualification.
How to apply
Show moreStudents must apply through a written application process to be evaluated by their chosen education provider. This may include assessment of qualitative responses provided in the application form, a pre-test and an interview.

- Milner International College of English – 27th November 2023 – available part time over 10 weeks
- Phoenix Academy – 20th November 2023 – available full time over 4 weeks
- Phoenix Academy – 22nd August 2023 – available part time over 10 weeks (closed)
