This document provides broad governance principles for records managers and ICT managers to ensure that information in Microsoft 365 (M365) is managed in accordance with the State Records Act 2000 and the State Records Commission Standards and Principles.
The previous records management advice on M365 Compliance Centre for Records Management published in 2022 has been revoked. Organisations are advised to refer to more up-to-date advice on managing records in M365 on the websites of the Public Record Office of Victoria and State Records New South Wales.
