The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) has published and commenced the Indicative Facility Class Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Procedure which commenced on 21 March 2024. It was published for a 15-day consultation period and no submissions were received.
AEMO also published and commenced the following WEM Procedures on the WEM Website:
Commissioning Tests
Dispatch Algorithm Formulation
Determination of Market Schedules
Facility Dispatch Process
Frequency Co-Optimised Essential System Services (FCESS) Accreditation
The abovementioned WEM Procedures were published for a 15 Business Day stakeholder consultation period.
AEMO received submissions for two of the above WEM Procedures. A summary of the submissions and AEMO’s response to these submissions can be found here:
