The Department of Treasury and Finance's Strategic Plan 2026–29 sets our direction for the next three years.

Our vision: A prosperous and resilient Western Australia, enabled by trusted advice and strong stewardship.

Our purpose: We provide expert economic, financial and policy advice and services to support Government, fostering a workplace where talented people contribute to meaningful outcomes for the people of Western Australia.

Our values: Make a difference, Work together, Communicate with clarity, Learn and adapt

Over the next three years, DTF will focus on three strategic priorities:

  • Providing trusted fiscal and economic stewardship to support long-term prosperity and fiscal sustainability through high-quality advice, strong stewardship and future-focused policy.
  • Leading and partnering to build sector capability and deliver high-quality services that strengthen Government outcomes through collaboration, innovation and customer-focused service delivery.
  • Enabling our people to thrive through organisational capability and strong systems, fostering a high-performing, inclusive and values-led workplace that attracts and develops talented people.

The Strategic Plan 2026–29 provides a shared direction for DTF and a foundation for delivering trusted advice, strong stewardship and meaningful outcomes for Western Australia.
