Energy Policy WA's Final Report, Tailoring customer protections for alternative electricity services - a registration framework proposes amendment of the Electricity Industry Act 2004 to establish a framework for the regulation of prescribed categories of alternative electricity services, with the establishment of a new code of practice for alternative electricity service providers, registration requirements for prospective providers, enforcement and compliance obligations and customer access to the Energy and Water Ombudsman Western Australia.
