The Australian Government is seeking feedback to inform a review into the:
- Australian Domestic Gas Security Mechanism
- Gas Market Code
- Heads of Agreement with east coast LNG exporters
The review will examine the effectiveness of these instruments and identify potential opportunities for improvement to ensure sufficient gas supply in the long-term, supporting the delivery of the Future Gas Strategy. The review will also consider long-term policy settings and reforms for Australia’s gas markets to support investment and energy security for Australia.
The Department of Energy and Economic Diversification prepared a response to the Gas Market Review Consultation Paper on behalf of the WA Government.
