The Western Australian Government is providing weekly updates on H5 bird flu to keep the community informed about the current situation in WA.
These updates outline the actions being taken to prepare for and respond to bird flu, helping to minimise impacts on wildlife, communities, agricultural industries and the economy. They also provide information on surveillance, biosecurity measures and efforts to protect Western Australia’s unique environment and livestock industries.

importance of good biosecurity to protect pets and backyard poultry. - Submissions for the Bird Flu Wildlife Resilience Large Grants closed with a total of
31 applications now under assessment. - WA Health continues to monitor the situation, and the risk to humans remains low.
