Regional development is fundamentally about the people who live, work and invest in our regions. The department supports Western Australians in the regions through policy, services and programs like the Regional Pensioner Travel Card, the Local Content Adviser Network, and a range of Grants and Funding.

The Regional Development Framework outlines a collaborative effort by the nine Regional Development Commissions, the Western Australian Regional Development Trust, the Regional Development Council, and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, to build resilient regions with strong economies.
